After the Honda LPGA Thailand, the LPGA Tour headed to California for the JTBC Classic. The event will take place at the Aviara Golf Club and promises a weekend of fun and entertainment like all other LPGA events. Starting in 2010, this will be the 12th edition of the tournament.

Formerly known as Kia Classic, the name was changed to JTBC Classic after the sponsor change. This year, Inbee Park and Jin Yong Ko are among the popular stars taking the stage.
Unfortunately, Nelly Korda will miss the event due to a blood clot in her arm.

That being said, Park won the last edition of the tournament, which she won by five strokes.
Where will the event take place?
As mentioned, the tournament will be played at Aviara Golf Club. It comes with a Hyatt complex and an additional residential area. Also, the JTBC Classic has been played there since 2013. The score, according to reports, is down.
Also, the place is an Arnold Palmer design.
The course is open to the public, and anyone of any age and skill level can choose a tee time. Of course, they rate the course as one of the best courses in the San Diego area. The course covers hillsides and has planted native wildflowers. Bunkers and water obstacles are present, which makes it a unique place.

2022 JTBC Classic LPGA Winner Payout
According to reports, the JTBC Classic has a prize pool of $1.5 million. The winner, however, takes home the colossal sum of $225,000. They will also earn 500 Race to the CME Globe points. Additionally, LPGA Tour event berths and a two-year LPGA Tour exemption are awarded to the winner.
