If you’re looking for indoor miniature golf, Houston offers a fun glow-in-the-dark course at this resort just west of the city. The 21-track nine-hole course lets you putt through a jungle that includes wild creatures and mysterious sights. The black light course includes a photo op on the fourth hole and a map as you cycle through its grounds. Part of it is fun, but don’t let the sounds of mocking monkeys disrupt your concentration. Once you’re done playing mini golf, try the indoor go-karts, laser tag, and arcade games to round out your day.

While Speedy’s Fast Track’s centerpiece is its go-kart experience, you’ll also find it to be one of the best places for mini golf in Houston. The 18-hole course features some long, wacky holes, including a few par 4s, making it a challenge for even the most experienced players in your group. A laser beacon and a sturdy archway make this another destination for more than just a day in the sun.

Another great option for indoor miniature golf in Houston is at US Golf and Games, which has been entertaining kids since the mid-1980s. This air-conditioned destination in the Southbelt area is open and comfortable every day of the year. . The 18-hole mini-golf course is one of the most affordable in town and there are plenty of other things to do besides putt-putt. The site offers go-karts, arcade games, pool tables, and baseball and softball batting cages.

If you’re looking for some classic outdoor mini golf, head just outside of town and soak up the sunshine and fresh air at Katy Miniature Golf and Batting Cages. Miniature golf course (as well as batting cages) are ADA compliant. Unlike many courses, whether one member of your group has a wheelchair or a stroller, the course is completely accessible to them. Kids under 4 play free with a paying adult, so it’s a great place to bring your younger golfers. In addition to mini-golf, this attraction also features batting cages, indoor bouncy houses, an arcade, go-karts, and a Ferris wheel. You might want to make a day out of it.

To the north, just outside of Conroe, you’ll find a family-favorite mini-golf course at Longview Greens. The 18-hole course is themed around the state of Texas and features a giant putting surface at #18 designed to resemble the state flag. He just begs you to take a picture for social media. On other holes, you’ll find yourself navigating obstacles like a space shuttle and the iconic Dallas Cowboys star. Kids 3 and under play for free, and the course offers special rates for retired or active military and first responders with valid ID.

This classic family amusement park, nestled about 40 miles north of downtown Houston, has a low admission price, which includes mini golf. Conroe’s 7 Acre Wood also has a petting zoo, where children can meet some friendly ponies named Parrott and Monkey, as well as goats, donkeys, llamas, deer, a cow, chickens and ducks. There’s also a zipline, a large outdoor playground with a sandbox, a giant Lego room, a chalk room, and even a little western town that’s great for pictures.

The Woodlands is a favorite spot for Houston families for a reason. There’s a ton to do in this North Houston getaway, including 18 holes of indoor blacklight mini-golf. Shankz’s glow-in-the-dark course takes players through a jungle, lets them hang out with dinosaurs, and places them in an underwater scene featuring sharks and dolphins. The center also has an arcade and one-of-a-kind virtual reality experiences when you’re ready to land your putters.

If you’re looking for a beautiful outdoor 18-hole mini-golf course and don’t mind a bit of a drive, look no further than Colorado Canyon. Technically, make it a double, as there are two 18-hole courses to play. Unique course obstacles here include a Y-shaped log that sends your ball to a private island in the water and a 16-foot waterfall in another location. Colorado Canyon also offers an 18-hole course fully accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.

In addition to mini-golf, you can play more than a dozen arcade games for cash, go gem mining and try the laser maze. It’s in Beaumont, about 90 miles northeast of Houston, so plan the trip into your day and it’ll be a great afternoon away from the city for everyone.
