Connie Annette Chandler French passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 in Madison, Florida, at the age of 67.

Connie was born March 9, 1954 in Longview, Texas, to Ted and Loma Chandler. In 1965, his family moved to Madison, Florida. She has long been a member of the Ladies Golf Association at Madison Country Club. Being active in the IBC Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group was important to her. Her greatest glory was to be a “nanny” for her grandchildren. She liked to go to any event where they were involved and lovingly shared stories about them with everyone. Her favorite part of the day was sunset, when she always tried to take time with her family to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun go down. She loved to see live music. She loved golf, both playing and watching it on TV. Even in her most difficult times facing cancer, she embraced life and refused to give up oysters and wine. She knew how to live the good life.

She is survived by her husband, Rex French, of Lee, Florida; daughter, Chandra Smith (Gareth), and their children Cody Smith and Riley Smith, of Madison, Florida; mother, Loma Graham Chandler, of Madison, Florida; daughter-in-law, Lynne Davis (Gary) and their children Mia and Cole, of Miami, Florida; stepson, Brian French (Katie) and their son, Drew French, of Lee, Florida; brother, Ronald Richardson, of Madison; two sisters, Diane Richardson Ranger (Chester), of Palm Desert, CA and Peggy Chandler Carter (Eric), of La Selva Beach, CA; as well as many close and cherished cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Teddy Chandler, of Madison, Florida.

As a member of the Baptist faith, funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 28 at 3 p.m. at the Cherry Lake Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Society.

TJ Beggs, Jr. and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements, (850) 973-2258.
