BRAINERD, Minnesota—PGA TOUR Canada will make history this summer by hosting its first official event outside of Canada. The CRMC Championship presented by Gertens is scheduled here for August 22-28, the ninth of 11 official events on the 2022 calendar.
Cragun’s Resort is the host site, with its Legacy courses hosting the 72-hole tournament. The Cragun family has owned the resort for over 80 years and will act as the host organization. The resort’s director of golf and PGA of Minnesota member Jack Wawro is the tournament director.
In addition, Tom Lehman, PGA TOUR player and PGA TOUR Champions and former United States Ryder Cup captain, is the tournament’s honorary chair. In addition to being onsite during tournament week, Lehman Design Group is leading the $10 million golf course renovation and expansion project that began in April 2021.

The Thursday-Sunday tournament is preceded by the Northern Pacific Center Pro-Am on August 24.

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center is a community-built facility that serves approximately 30,000 people in the Brained Lakes area. Net proceeds from the event will be used to further the mission of the CRMC Charitable Fund to care for all members of the community from first breath to last, regardless of financial ability.

The PGA TOUR Canada began in 2013 as the second international PGA TOUR Tour, following the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica a year earlier. Prominent PGA TOUR alumni who got their start in Canada include Americans Tony Finau and Joel Dahmen, Canadians Corey Conners, Mackenzie Hughes, Michael Gligic and Nick Taylor, CT Pan from Chinese Taipei and Austrian Sepp Straka.
Since its inception, the Tour has seen 11 of its alumni win 13 PGA TOUR titles, while 45 former PGA TOUR Canada players have won 48 total victories on the Korn Ferry Tour.
