A video, showing Greg Norman hiding in the background as respected writer Alan Shipnuck is kicked out of a LIV Golf press conference, has gone viral online.
The video, first published by CNNshows Shipnuck talking to security guards outside the press conference as Norman watches from behind him.
Shipnuck tweeted after his expulsion: “Well a couple of neckless security guys physically pulled me out of Phil Mickelson’s press conference saying they were acting on orders from their boss, whom they declined to name. (Greg Norman? MBS? Al Capone?).
“Never a dull moment here.”

The Group of householdsto which Shipnuck contributes, reported that security guards twice grabbed the writer, who said “don’t touch me.”
Things then took an even more bizarre turn with Shipnuck claiming he contacted Norman about the incident.
A screenshot of a text exchange, which Shipnuck said was between him and Norman, shows the Australian golfing legend allegedly saying he knew nothing about his expulsion.
Shipnuck’s text reads: “Do you know I just got kicked out of Phil’s press conference by a few of your henchmen? Lucky for you, I kept my cool and I have defused the situation. Please call me to discuss.
Norman reportedly replied, “I didn’t hear. Thanks for letting me know.”
The final text is from Shipnuck, who shared a screenshot showing Norman standing behind him watching him get kicked out.
“It’s funny because:” Shipnuck wrote to accompany the image.
The video emerged on a day when the PGA Tour banned 17 players who joined the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series.
