Harry Truman Ulmer died on Sunday October 30, 2022 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on Tuesday, December 7, 1948, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to the late Clarence and Lillian Aucker Ulmer.
In his younger years, Harry pitched for the senior division of Loyalsock Little League Baseball. He was an ace pitcher on the mound, throwing pitches no hitter could hit. It was a regular thing for him to pitch no-hitters one after the other. Not only a powerhouse on the mound, but it was also not uncommon for Harry to blast multiple homers, grand slams and hit dozens of runs per game, humiliating teams throughout the season.
Harry also attended Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where he graduated in mathematics. He then became a computer programmer working for the Ladies Professional Golf Association in Florida. Harry was a talented man with many accomplishments and a lot of hard work. Now, when it comes to relaxing on the side, he loved watching movies on the Hallmark Channel as well as visits to the Grand Ole Opry. Listening to country music was enjoyable for Harry, also watching football and playing golf. He will hold fond memories in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his parents, his sisters, Cecelia Poorman and Eleanor Rouse, his brother-in-law, Lewis Rouse, Sr., his nephew, Lewis Rouse, Jr., and his niece, Sharon Schrader.
Left to cherish his memory are his nieces; Darlene Matson, Debbie Applegate, Brenda Hodge, Eleanor Rouse-Bates, three great-nieces: Tabitha, Kristine, Samantha, four great-nephews: Nicholas, Christopher, Bubba, Matthew, three great-great-nieces: Lillian, Lisa, Issabelle , six great-great-grandnephews: Corbyn, Jasyn, Christian, Noah, Christopher Jr., other extended family members and numerous friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 2 to 3 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. at VL Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Verdilla.
