The Youngstown State men’s golf team will continue its fall roster on Sunday when it begins play in the Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Penguins are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational on Tuesday. YSU posted an impressive team score of 285(+1) in the final round to move up three spots in the standings. Fifth year senior Bryan Kordupel tied for fifth place individually with a score of 215 in three rounds (72-75-68). Senior Cade Kreps and freshman Ryan-Sam each shot a career-low 71 in Tuesday’s final session.

The tournament grounds at the Bucknell Invitational will feature 17 other schools including Bucknell, Canisius, Cornell, Detroit Mercy, Holy Cross, Merrimack, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary’s, Niagara, Ottawa, Rider, Robert Morris, Sacred Heart, Saint Francis (Pa. ), Saint Joseph, Saint Peter and Towson.

Teams will play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as part of the 54-hole, three-day event. Tee times for Sunday’s first round will begin at 9 a.m. from No. 1 and 9:20 a.m. from No. 10. The course will play approximately 6,224 yards and par is 70. Live scores will be available on Golfstat .com.

The head coach Tony Joy announced that YSU’s lineup will include Kordupel, Kreps, Cole ChristianSam and Dean Austalosh. In addition, Conner Stevens will compete individually.

Kordupel, Kreps, Christman and Sam have competed in each of YSU’s first three events this fall. Austalosh will take part in this third event of the campaign while Stevens will make his debut in the 2022-23 season.
