BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh Men’s Golf Team will travel to Villanova, Pa. for the Wildcat Invitational this Monday and Tuesday for its final stroke play tournament before the Patriot League Championship, April 29-May 1. .

The Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Villanova, will be held at the par 70, 6,572 yard course at Radnor Valley Country Club. The 36-hole tournament will feature 18 holes each day with the tee time scheduled for 8 a.m. on Monday.

The tournament field will include Binghamton, Bucknell, Colgate, Delaware, Lafayette, La Salle, Long Island, Marquette, Rhode Island, Rider, St. Joe’s, Villanova, William & Mary and defending champions St John’s.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off an 11th place finish at the ABARTA Collegiate Invitational at the Steel Club in Hellertown, Pennsylvania. Junior David Hurley had a good showing, shooting one under par 143 (71-72) and tying for fifth place. Second year Edmund Broderick and first year Aidan Oehrle the two shot in two solid rounds finishing at six over par (150) and seven over par (151), respectively. Junior Daniel Song fought back after shooting 80 in his first round with a second round 73 that featured 17 straight pars.

After the Wildcat Invitational, Lehigh will face Lafayette in the annual President’s Cup match play event at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, NJ. The Mountain Hawks will then have a week to prepare for the Patriot League Championship which will take place at the Steel Club the following weekend.
