Are you looking for a golf course offering 18 holes of exciting play surrounded by natural beauty, with a restaurant and bar serving first class food and drink?

Whidbey Golf Club boasts a peaceful setting in Oak Harbor, with a lake and tree-lined valley, and is a natural choice for golfers of all ages and levels of play.

Located in the “rain shadow” of the Olympic Mountains, this area experiences at least 50% less precipitation than the rest of Puget Sound, making this course very playable all winter long.

“We take great pride in providing our members and guests with the best gaming experience possible. Compared to other courses in the area, our course plays better year-round because we get less rain here on the island, have good drainage, and our superintendent Trevor Thorp and his maintenance staff do a incredible. says Managing Director Arik Dahlen. “Our fairways are nice and clean, and our greens are in great shape – just looking at the course, they really stand out!”

Along with the thrill of playing on a top-notch course, you can also take time to relax at the Fairway Grill, available to members and their guests. The semi-private restaurant/bar has an excellent menu which includes a Friday members dinner with mouth-watering dishes like Dover sole, garlic roast duck and prime rib dinner.

Whidbey Golf Club is fun for the whole family!

“A lot of people in the area still don’t know that we’re semi-private and have social subscriptions available that only cost $20/month for the family,” says Dahlen. “The restaurant and bar have four 63” televisions combined to form a nine foot television – a great place to watch any sporting event! We also host fun events like Cinco de Mayo and a great Mother’s Day buffet, so there’s something for everyone.

Founded in 1961, “we’re still owned by our members – anyone has the opportunity to become a shareholder member,” says Dahlen.

The Whidbey Golf Club also offers a tournament calendar that runs almost year-round and features events such as the Whidbey Local Ladies Invitational, Apple Cup 2-Man, and Superbowl Scramble.

“We have a great tournament schedule open to almost anyone, with great guests from all over the United States and a good range of categories that will suit all players from novice to advanced,” Dahlen said. . “Our two course pros are also available for lessons, and one of them – David Phay, passed the preliminary round of qualifying for this year’s US Open!”
