NEW PHILADELPHIA – Kent State University in Tuscarawas is sponsoring the 21st Annual Scholarship Golf Outing on April 29 at Oak Shadows Golf Club. Registration for four players over 18 holes begins at 10:30 a.m., with lunch at 11 a.m. and tee shot at noon. Game fees include lunch and steak dinner.

The deadline for registration is April 22. All proceeds benefit the Alumni Legacy Scholarships for deserving Kent State Tuscarawas students. The event is open to everyone.

“It’s a fun way for businesses and individuals to get involved in helping our students,” said Kent State Tuscarawas Dean and CEO Brad Bielski. “We are always striving to provide more opportunities and access for local individuals to pursue a university education.”

Over the past 20 years, this annual event has raised over $80,000 and provides funds for four $1,000 scholarships awarded each year, supports the Alumni Legacy Scholarship Endowment Fund, and supports the growth and development of the Kent State Tuscarawas Alumni Association.
