NORMAND – The University of Oklahoma Women’s Golf Team hosts the ninth Schooner Fall Classic September 24-26 at Belmar Golf Club.

The three-day, 54-hole event will feature 15 teams and entry is free. The Sooners are joined by Baylor, Clemson, Florida State, Illinois, Iowa State, Houston, Louisville, North Texas, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas State, Tulsa, UTSA and Virginia Tech.

Oklahoma opened the season at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Links September 2-4. The Sooners finished seventh and were trailed by Nina Lang, who finished tied for 24th. Mikahaela Fortuna joined Lang in the top 30, tied for 29th.

A pair of Sooners, Savanna Barber and Raychel Nelkemade their first appearances in the Crimson and Cream. Maria Fernanda Martinez and meagan winan also appeared in the season opening lineup.

Fortuna, Barber, Maritnez, Nelke and Winans make up the Oklahoma lineup at the Schooner.

Four additional Sooners, Kaylee Vesely, Nina Lang, Gracie Mayo and madison smithare competing as individuals in the field.

All three rounds will be played at the Belmar Golf Club (par 70, 6,109 yard course).

FORMAT

Fifty-four holes will be played over three days with 18 holes each day starting Saturday, September 24 at 9 a.m. The pairing will begin on holes one and 10.
