PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL – Electric tee, innovators in technologies that drive game improvement, golfer engagement and practice facility revenue, are well positioned to expand their presence in the United States in the coming year. Already the most commonly used punching mats in most of the UK, the company is implementing its proven formula in North America with a growing number of valuable partnerships. The Power Tee business concept is evolving now to become a tangible reality in the not too distant future.

Driving range and golf course owners are seeing increased revenue from Power Tee hitting bays compared to traditional grass or mat bays, as Power Tee users hit more balls per practice session and spend more time at Power Tee stations. In turn, food and beverage sales and retail sales increase at these facilities.

Featuring patented technology that has been perfected through years of engineering, Power Tee guarantees a perfect ball automatically every time a golfer swings. Whether it’s a free-standing driving range, on-course driving range, private clubhouse, indoor golf entertainment complex, or private golf studios, golfers are quickly discovering the benefits of have a ball for them in seconds. Plus, each ball is positioned at the exact height the player needs for every lie and swing. The user experience allows for more consistent swings and the ability to find a productive practice rhythm faster during every range session.

“We are present in over 80% of the business areas in the UK,” says Martin Wyeth, Founder and CEO. “I believe that within 20 years it will be nearly impossible for practicing golfers to throw their own ball. Once you experience the Power Tee and understand its benefits and the mechanics of the swing to really groove in a change of swing, there is no longer much point in practicing in another way.

American facilities have already started converting their tees, and Power Tee is now installed at 400 ranges and clubs in 18 countries. In the past six months alone, there have been 15 new installations with a total of 208 machines. Some 6 million golf balls are now played daily on a Power Tee.

The concept is simple: load up to 100 bales into the hopper. A ball will automatically appear on the tee after loading and then again after each shot. To ensure realistic lie conditions, the tee offers up to 40 tee heights that can be quickly adjusted with the press of a button on the control panel. The Fiberbuilt Hitting Mat and Padded Standing Mat used by Power Tee are the highest quality golf mats in the industry, ensuring a comfortable experience. Golfers get much better results with the Power Tee by never having to move while building confidence and consistency. Power Tee also provides a clean platform to hit shots every time, minimizing injuries to wrists, forearms and elbows from repeated hard impacts on hardened beach mat or damaged grass. For golfers who value clean contact, enjoyable turf interaction and efficient practice time, Power Tee is a game changer.

Adam Owen, CEO of Magnolia Golf Management, is one owner/operator who has seen immediate benefits. Magnolia’s three golf courses in Austin, TX, Avery Ranch Golf Club, Falconhead Golf Club and Teravista Golf Club, have all had Power Tee range stations since May and the impact on business and customer satisfaction has been significant.

“The opportunity to take our ranges – which already featured the Toptracer range – to a new experience and level of quality, drew us to Power Tee,” says Owen. “We have installed almost 100 Power Tee units on our three courses, and it has been fantastic. Our average ROI – with Power Tee versus without – generates an increase in revenue of approximately 18-20% per month. Having consistent turf conditions every day and mats that people really like to hit on is a game-changer because practice tees don’t have to be constantly moved due to heavy use.

Power Tee is endorsed by PGA Tour professional Jim Furyk, who is also a shareholder in the company. “Jim loves the product and has one at home. He hits a lot of balls on it. Obviously with his wrist injury, he likes to have a surface that doesn’t hurt him. And he was very supportive of me,” adds Wyeth.

2018 Team Europe Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjorn and elite golf instructor Mitchell Spearman also endorse Power Tee.

This year, Power Tee installations began with machines featuring a pre-made bridge – allowing Power Tee to drop the bridge directly into place on the cooker – up to 10 at a time – and complete a complete installation in as little as four hours. This will also help reduce costs.

“Our mats are designed to feel good and to last well,” says Wyeth. “As part of our operating program where we rent the equipment, we replace these mats every 20 months, so they never become hard or compacted. They never feel bad. We have a client in Canada, who has a huge grass starting line with 21 mats under cover. And when we met him, 80% of his business was with weed. Within a year of installing Power Tee, 80% of his business was on Power Tees. It was a complete reversal. Once facilities have tried it and found that their customers like the product, it’s a one-way street. They see it’s such a great way to train and get their starting line working.
