SPRING, Texas – Coming off a fourth-place finish in their spring season opener, the Southeastern Louisiana University men’s golf team looks to build on their momentum as they play in the Colin Montgomerie Invitational starting Monday at 8 a.m. 15 at Augusta Pines Golf Club (par 72, 7,041 yards).

The Lions will join a 16-team squad, hosted by HBU, which includes Omaha, Missouri State, New Orleans, North Dakota, Prairie View A&M, Stephen F. Austin, Midland Community College, DePaul, Gonzaga, Nicholls, UT Rio Grande Valley, UIW, Weber State, and two HBU teams.

SLU will send the same group from last week of Logan Kuhn, Cameron Mobley, Grayson Glorioso and new arrivals Charlie Forster and Michael Landry.

Kuehn, a senior, finished second in last week’s Gulf Coast Intercollegiate tournament, tied for 54 holes. The Lake Charles, La., native has three career top-10 finishes as he enters Monday’s first round averaging 74.0 shots this season.

Mobley continues to be a rock for the Lions as he shot a first round 71 last week before having to withdraw from the second round due to injury. The Rankin, Mississippi native came back with a last-round 74 as he and Kuehn anchor the Lions ahead of Monday’s first round.

Glorioso will also be looking to improve on their strong showing from last week after finishing tied for 17and in the field of 75. The second player for the Lions was consistent all weekend shooting a first round 76, a second round 73 and a last round 75.

Southeastern will play the first two rounds and 36 holes Monday with a shot gun tee. The tournament ends with the final round on Tuesday morning.
