Lakewood, NJ – Savanna Weyrauch shot a final round 77 (+5) and ranked sixth overall as Hofstra and Monmouth completed a two-round head-to-head match Tuesday at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks won the game 612-683. The event was contested on two different courses, with Monday’s opening round taking place at Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune, New Jersey.

Weyrauch had a first-round 88 (+16) before bouncing back on Tuesday to post Hofstra’s best result at 165 (+21). Averee Dovsek finished 10th overall out of 16 players with a 171 (+27) after rounds of 89 (+17) and 82 (+10). Emma Federman was 11th at 172 (+28) with scores of 90 (+18) and 82 (+10). Maya Torpey ranked 12th at 177 (+33) after carding an 88 (+16) and an 89 (+17). Claire Galante was 13th at 180 (+36) after a 93 (+21) and an 87 (+15). Mai Takahashiplaying as an individual entrant, placed 14th at 184 (+40) after rounds of 94 (+22) and 90 (+18).

Monmouth’s Paige Diecidue and Elizabeth McCook shared the honors with a 151 (+7). Diecidue had rounds of 77 (+5) and 74 (+2), while McCook opened with a 74 (+2) and closed with a 77 (+5). The pair finished two strokes ahead of teammate Ava Lozito in third place.

Hofstra returns to action at the Battle of the Dominican College at the Beech on March 21-22 at White Beeches Golf and Country Club in Haworth, New Jersey.
