NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State women’s golf head coach Breanne Hall has announced the signing of Reagan Kennedy from varsity high school to a national letter of intent to play for the Redbirds beginning in the fall of 2023.

Kennedy is a three-year-old qualifier for the IHSA State Tournament, earning a third-place individual as a rookie, placed seventh as a junior and 11e place as a senior (the sophomore tournament was canceled due to the pandemic).

“We are thrilled to add Reagan to the Redbird golf family,” Hall said. “She’s going to be an immediate asset to the team, bringing with her local pride to Illinois State. had a very successful junior golf career which we know will help to continue to elevate our program.”

She was a two-time regional champion (junior and senior year) and earned section medalist honors in her first season. She was named an All-Conference all four seasons, and for two seasons was an All-Conference medalist. She also won three individual long distance medals. She averaged 74.5 points as a senior year, and in 2021 was tied for sixth in the Illinois Women’s Golf Association tournament after shooting rounds 74 and 72.
